Knowing what to expect makes the first appointment easier. Here is exactly how a first visit at Positively Chiropractic works, from walking in to walking out with a plan.
1. New Patient Forms
You will start with intake paperwork covering your personal details, medical history, and a description of what brought you in — when the problem started, what makes it better or worse, and how it affects your daily life.
You can complete the intake form before you arrive to save time in the office.
2. Consultation
You will sit down with Dr. Moseley and talk through your concerns. This is a conversation, not a form-filling exercise: what hurts, what you have already tried, what you need to get back to, and what you want out of care.
3. Chiropractic Examination
A hands-on physical examination follows — assessing posture, spinal and joint movement, muscle tone, and neurological function as your condition requires. Dr. Moseley will explain each part of the examination before performing it, and nothing happens without your consent.
If imaging or referral to another provider is appropriate, she will tell you.
4. Report of Findings
Dr. Moseley will explain what the examination showed, in plain language: what is happening, why it is likely happening, and what can realistically be done about it. You will have the chance to ask questions before anything is decided.
If chiropractic is not the right answer for your condition, you will be told that too.
5. Treatment
In most cases treatment begins on the same visit. Depending on your findings this may include spinal or extremity adjustment, flexion distraction therapy, dry needling, or physiotherapies such as electrical muscle stimulation, ultrasound or interferential therapy.

6. Your Care Plan
Finally, you will leave with a plan — how often to come in, what to expect over the coming weeks, and what to do between visits. Plans are re-examined over time and adjusted as your condition changes.
Care is recommended based on what your condition requires. If your goals are different, say so, and the plan will be built around them.
